An Introduction - Of Sorts

We hold these truths to be self-evident, that all men are created equal, that they are endowed by their Creator with certain unalienable Rights, that among these are Life, Liberty and the pursuit of Happiness.
Who are the Sons of the Republic?
Glad you asked. We are husbands, fathers, and sons. We are Americans - born, bred and proud to be so. We come from diverse backgrounds, a shared faith, and a mutual belief that the United States of America is the greatest nation ever to be placed on the face of God's Green Earth. We are intelligent, and conservative - unashamedly so. We have chosen, after much discussion, to start this blog as a forum in which to share our thoughts, feelings, views, and commentary with anyone who manages to find us here in cyberspace.
We love our country. We believe it to be founded on inspired principles enshrined in the Declaration of Independence and the Constitution of the United States. America is still the Shining City on the Hill of which Reagan spoke of so often.
We hope you will enjoy what you find here and come back often to visit.
