Republic. I like the sound of the word. It means people can live free, talk free, go or come, buy or sell, be drunk or sober, however they choose. Some words can give you a feeling that makes your heart warm. Republic is one of those words. - John Wayne

Band of Brothers
by Cordeiro
Lurch will not be happy about this. His actual shipmates from Vietnam aren't too happy about the way he has wrapped himself in the medals he received in Vietnam. They're really unhappy about his testimony before the Senate Foreign Relations Committee in April of 1971. They're mad as hell, and they will not be silenced.

They have put forth a commercial sure to raise questions about Lurch's military record. Its available at Human Events Online. I watched it once, and saw testimony by men with at least five bronze stars and a many other commendations among them. The statements they make are truly damning - especially considering they come from those who served alongside the man who would be the next president.

Also available today is the book Unfit For Command.

Drip, drip, drip. The hits just keep on coming. Considering Lurch's glass jaw for this kind of stuff, a Deanesque meltdown cannot be far off.
