First Lady Laura Bush: Taking the High Road
First Lady Laura Bush appeared on CBS' "The Early Show" this morning. She was asked about The Ketchup Queen's recent "Shove it!" comment, as well as Heinz-Kerry's comment about referring to "four more years of hell" [for liberals] if President Bush were to be re-elected.
Imagine what Maria Teresa Thierstein Simoes-Ferreira Heinz Kerry (deep gasp for breath) would say, given the chance to comment publicly about something Laura Bush had said. Given her recent media exposure, I can only assume that The Ketchup Queen would have fired off a stinging remark of some type.
Maybe Teresa would, but not our First Lady! The AP (Associated Propagandists) relays a portion of the television interview:
"When asked if Heinz Kerry's 'shove it' comment was appropriate, Bush said: 'It's hard when your husband's running for president. It's hard to be scrutinized and to hear the criticisms, and I think that's really what the fact of the matter is in what she said.'"That, my friends, is a person who understands the importance of the First Lady's role. I believe, however, we can translate Mrs. Bush's comments to mean, "Teresa, zip it while you still have a chance."
I wonder how Hillary feels about losing her title as Most Shrewish Political Wife (Democrat Division)?Post a Comment
