Simon Wiesenthal, 1908-2005
by Cordeiro
Via Blackfive this morning - Simon Wiesenthal, also known as The Deputy for the Dead, died peacefully Tuesday at the age of 96. Like Matt, I will not attempt to summize Mr. Wiesenthal's life here. I will but point you to the Chicago Tribune and commend to you its 13 page obituary.
I will say but this, there was no one who worked harder, longer, or more diligently in the pursuit of justice for the horrors that were wrought upon those who suffered at the hands of the Nazis than Simon Wiesenthal. His legacy is unmatched, and his work brought justice to those who could no longer seek it for themselves.
Well done, Simon. Godspeed.
