7-11 Sends Hugo Chavez A Parting Gift
Venezuela's "Progressive" President Hugo "Wannabe Thug" Chavez is about learn a very tough lesson in economics.
Pissing off the client is a bad thing to do.
I salute 7-11 and the Southland Corporation for having the guts to tell Citgo (and by proxy Hugo) what they can do with their gasoline.
Gas is a valuable commodity, so market forces dictate someone will buy it. However, another middleman will be introduced into the equation which will increase the cost of the transaction thereby decreasing the profit margin for Hugo and Citgo. With the dramatic decrease in the price of oil in the past month, Hugo will have a lot less money with which he can fund his leftward lurches.
Now, if you'll excuse me, I'm going to go patronize my local 7-11.
