Hillary's Funny Money
Running for the office of President of the United States costs money – lots of it. Candidates spend more time raising money than they do actually campaigning – some people decry this fact of political life, but it remains a fact. Money enables a candidate to spread his/her message to the general electorate. If you have cash, you have a voice. If you don’t, the MSM is your voice and you’re in trouble.
In today’s LA Times, Peter Nicholas and Tom Hamburger report on Hillary’s fundraising efforts with a specific demographic which has been very generous with their donations to her campaign. It’s a demographic which – on the surface at least – wouldn’t seem to be able to part with the large sums of money which have been traced back to it.
Yes, dear reader, we’re talking about a demographic made up of dishwashers, waiters, and other residents of New York’s Chinatown district. This demographic has given heavily to Hillary – some $380,000 in an April fundraiser alone.
Let’s get right to the heart of the matter, shall we? Let’s put a reality translator to the flowery, non-offensive language of the LA Times writers and find out how an area that gave less than $24,000 to John “Lurch” Kerry managed to increase their donations by some fifteen fold.
Let’s start with “neighborhood associations” enlisted by Hillary! to “encourage” donations:
Clinton has enlisted the aid of Chinese neighborhood associations, especially those representing recent immigrants from Fujian province. The organizations, at least one of which is a descendant of Chinatown criminal enterprises that engaged in gambling and human trafficking, exert enormous influence over immigrants. The associations help them with everything from protection against crime to obtaining green cards.
In the real world, we refer to these types of “neighborhood associations” as Mafioso type thugs. You give them money or they break your legs.
Are all the enthusiastic donors to Hillary! living, breathing, eligible voters?
The Times examined the cases of more than 150 donors who provided checks to Clinton after fundraising events geared to the Chinese community. One-third of those donors could not be found using property, telephone or business records. Most have not registered to vote, according to public records.
[snip]...most of the Chinese reported as contributing to Clinton's campaign have never voted. Many speak little or no English. Some seem to lead such ephemeral lives that neighbors say they've never heard of them.
Ummm, that would be no. At least in the Chicago school of vote rigging, the voters had once been alive.
Where do these donors come up with the cash to give Hillary!?
And several dozen were described in financial reports as holding jobs -- including dishwasher, server or chef -- that would normally make it difficult to donate amounts ranging from $500 to the legal maximum of $2,300 per election.
Well, if they don’t earn it, that means the money must come from some other source. In layman’s terms, that means somebody is laundering campaign contributions through the dishwashers.
This isn’t the first time Team Clinton has made use of the Chinese ATM. Astute readers will remember the infamous Johnny Chung mugging for the camera with Bill shortly after he delivered wads of cash to the 1996 campaign. Of his $336,000 in bundled donations, $35,000 could be traced directly to China’s military intelligence service.
Sticking to the time honored principle that “You Dance With The One That Brung Ya”, Hillary! made great use of Norman Tsu’s bundling abilities, only to have that Ponzi Scheme collapse when Tsu was arrested on an Amtrak train in Colorado.
There is an ancient Chinese proverb which states that “the fish rots from the head down”. Hillary’s thinly veiled fundraising sham is a disgrace to the American political system – and believe me, it takes talent to do that.
Here endeth the lesson.
